Today Elsie found the hat and mittens bag...

Isn't she styling? ;)

more pics

Day dreamer...

Elsie happy to show off her two babies.

This one looks as if they are saying "Come on Mom, hurry up and take the picture already!".

Elsie in awe of little Sam, or her doll, I'm not sure which one. :)

Happy Birthday

Happy 8th Birthday Georgia Lynn!! We hope you had a fun day. You are a lovely young lady and we hope we can see you soon! We love you!!

Happy To Be Home

Yes, once again poor little Sam had to be in the hospital. But the good news is we are back home. This time he came down with RSV and viral pneumonia. Now we are giving him breathing treatments and chest PT at home and we are back and forth to the doctor's office. It will be nice to eventually be able to spend ONE week home without a trip to the doctors, but we are just happy that he is getting better! Thank you all who said prayers for Sam.
Here is a picture of him resting in the hospital. He was in an oxygen tent so that he wouldn't have to work so hard to breath, and he received IV fluids and antibiotics as well as breathing treatments and chest PT. Chest PT is when they "pound" on his chest with a little rubber tool to break up the congestion in his lungs.

Here's the little guy gazing out the window, probably wishing he could go home!

What a pitiful little face!

When we got home, Samuel was SOOO happy and couldn't stop smiling. I caught one of his goofy little grins on camera!

One good thing about being in the hospital is that the fluids and antibiotics (which unfortunately gave him an upset stomach), he was on helped flush out some of the bilirubin causing his jaundice. So although still a bit yellow, he is a lot less yellow.

He missed his mobile.

Boy we sure missed Elsie Rae. These next pictures deserved their own post, but for time reasons I decided to roll it all into one. Elsie received mail from cousin's Ava and Brendan.

Valentines!

Elsie especially loved the Valentine Ava made her with her school picture inside.

Elsie showed Sam his Valentine's when he awoke from his nap. Thanks Ava and Brendan!

When Sam got home from the hospital he was definitely due for a bath. The only problem was he didn't want to wake up to take one! Look how relaxed he was.

That water woke him up a little.

A peek-a-boo Elsie Rae happy to have her brother home.

Although he was feeling tired, he still mustered a little smirk for the camera.

And look who I found hiding behind the bassinet!

My Due Date

We've already posted pictures today, but we just remembered that today was my actual due date. It's funny to imagine I could still be pregnant when Samuel's been here a month already!
Here's Sam today right after his bath.

Today we got out of the house for a bit and visited Grandma and Grandpa D. Here are the kiddos right before we left. As you can see Sam is still jaundice. He goes back to the doctor's on Friday to get checked again.

Samuel

This evening I caught Sam in a smile and happened to have the camera on hand. My camera is slow though and I only caught the end!

Happy Valentine's Day

Elsie and Sam were also surprised, like their cousins, to get special Valentine's cards from Grandma and Grandpa H.

Thank you so much for the nice cards grandma and grandpa!!

Elsie even read Sam his card, much to his delight as you can see!

*Samuel weighed in at a whopping 9 pounds and 4.5 ounces at his appointment yesterday! Elsie is almost 24 pounds! Poor girl has an ear infection though. Hopefully her antibiotic will clear that up soon.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tot-Book

Yesterday we made a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tot-Book. This is one of Elsie's favorite books, so she had a lot of fun with this.
(Thanks for the link Aunt Joann, I found it on your blog and it's great for Elsie!)

We also made a Thomas the Train Tot-Book. I didn't get a picture, but click on the link above to check it out.

Here is Daddy holding two sick little kiddos last night. They both have doctor's appointments scheduled for tomorrow, so the doctor will be able to check them out. Elsie's appointment is just a 19 month well visit, and Samuel's to check his jaundice.
