Colorful Day

Even though it was cloudy, wet, and cool today, I got to go for a walk and play in the leaves. I had a lot of fun playing in the pile Mom raked up for me. I also saw a lot of birds flying south.

Look at all these leaves in my driveway!

Here, take a closer look.

Where are those birds going?

Ooohh. This one is pretty Mommy.

Wow thank you Mommy, that's a lot of leaves. You did this for ME?

This is a lot of fun. I don't even care that I'm getting kind of wet.

Each one is different. Just like a snowflake...

They smell kind of funny though.

It's getting kind of deep in here Mom. Can you throw me a rope?

More birds flying high.

I think I like Fall!

Cool in my Shades

Is it dark in here, or is it just me?

Uncle Russell is 12!

Uncle Russell turned 12 on Thursday, so today we went over to Grandma G.'s to celebrate his birthday. Grandma made this neat cake. I got to be on Uncle Russell's football team!

Here's the birthday boy getting set to blow out 12 candles.

I got to play with my cousins.

Grandma G. wanted everybody to wave hello to Great Grandma and Grandpa H. (on Mommy's side) because they couldn't be there for the party. Daddy took the picture. Hi Grandma and Grandpa H.! We miss you, and love you, and hope to see you soon!

No News

Unfortunately there was a mix up with scheduling between my doctor and the imaging office, so our ultrasound will be rescheduled for a later date, yet to be determined.

My Pumpkin

Great Grandma and Grandpa H. (on Daddy's side) gave me a pumpkin. I like climbing and sitting on it. I call it "pa pa". Thanks Great Grandma and Grandpa!

I am the only one here ready for the snow! I just know that my boots are going to keep my hands so warm!

Oh yeah, tomorrow we get to go and see my baby brother or sister on the computer screen! I am sooo excited! I'll let you know how it goes!

Uh Oh

Mommy thought I was coloring so nicely and quietly so she could catch up on house work, and I WAS!! I decorated the printer for Mommy and Daddy, although Mommy didn't seem to like it too much. I look forward to showing Daddy though! I think HE is going to like it!

(If anyone has any tips for cleaning crayon off plastic PLEASE let me know. It just doesn't seem to wipe off as easy as the floor... Thanks!
-Jessie)

Last week my Great Grandpa D. (Daddy's Grandpa) went to heaven. We are going to miss him a lot... We love you Grandpa!

What I've Been Up To

On Monday I got ready for Great Grandpa D.'s memorial service at church. I got to wear shiny black shoes and....

...and a dress. I was even happy to wear my bow because Mommy and Daddy said I looked pretty!

After the service we took some pictures. Grandma D. even let me take some on her camera!

Of course Mommy got some of me. I had to wear my red jacket because it was chilly outside. I say "Brrrr!" when I think something is cold.

One good thing about a time like this is that you get to see a lot of family and relatives. Many I never even met before. This is Great Aunt N.

And Great Aunt B. and Uncle B.

and Second cousin (?) Derek and Great Aunt P.

Great Aunt K. and Uncle J. and Family. (There were lots of kids for me to play with.)

Great Aunt A. and Uncle T. and second cousin Julia.

Here is Aunt Sara, Grandma D., Grandpa D., Aunt Courtney, Kory, Daddy and I. Then in the front row, Aunt Keely and Mommy.

On Sunday Mommy and I went to a baby shower for Mommy's friend Kerry. Here is Kerry and I. I'm happy we finally got to meet!

I helped Mommy play one of the games and had fun until she took my pen away... Then I had quite the tantrum. I just wanted to write on Mommy's face and shirt a little bit!

The other day I was showing Daddy my stickers and how nice I color, and then I decided to be funny. Oh, and check out my art work on the floor.

It has been quite a week... Here I am getting ready to go. I had to brush my.... hat.

Here's me being silly, wearing my bucket "hat" again.

Here I am doing a little dancing. All that dancing can be tiring!

Update

I want to thank everyone for your prayers. We had a scare, but thank God I am doing better now, and the baby has been just kicking away! The problems I had been experiencing have subsided and we are just taking it easy. In a couple days I have been okayed by my doctor to go back to my normal routine (minus the baby gate "hopping" and a little less toddler lugging!). Matt has been home the last couple days and tomorrow I believe one of my sisters will be here to help with Elsie. The one good thing about going to the ER was that we got to see baby #2 via ultrasound for about 30 minutes. It's a very active one! We still have our routine 20 week ultrasound scheduled for next week, so maybe we'll be able to narrow down our name search! Thanks again so much for your prayers! Hopefully our next visit to the hospital will be in about 5 months and we'll be bringing home a healthy new baby!

Prayers

Please say prayers for my baby brother or sister and my Mommy. Mommy had to go to the emergency room yesterday and now is at home on bed rest. We can explain more later but your prayers would be VERY much appreciated for the baby that everything continues to go well for both.

And The Parade Of "Hats" Continues...

That's right, anything that resembles a hat in any way, shape, or form is going on my head.

My Wednesday

This is me when I first woke up this morning, drinking my warm milk (I don't like it cold!) and waiting for breakfast.

After breakfast Mommy got me dressed, then she handed me this tube thing to play with. I wasn't really sure what to do with it.

But it didn't take me long to realize that it was an elephant's trunk! Look at me, I'm an elephant!

When I woke up from my nap, Mommy's friend, Sarah D. from college, was here to visit (I know A LOT of Sara(h)s!)! She brought me a birthday present.

How did she know I love books?! Especially ones with piggies and cows and horsies! Thanks you Sarah!

Then I got her to read me book...after....book. Once she started there was no way I was going to let her stop!

Then Daddy came home and we all had dinner. I decided that no one was paying enough attention to me. So... I went over and dumped out my blocks so I could put on my trusty old "bowl hat". That got me some attention all right!

So I kept wearing it....

And wearing it....

Until I needed a new trick. So I found this egg and wore it on my toe!

Isn't it funny?! I like making people laugh.

All that playing with Mommy, Daddy, and Sarah tired me right out! Here I am a few minutes after my friend left. I had a busy day of playing and entertaining. Good night everyone!
