Watch Them Grow
Catching bubbles in the tub...
Happy boy after his bath. Samuel LOVES his bath by the way!
While painting today, Elsie painted her hair and nose, then stated she was NOT Rudolph! (video below) Such a silly girl, always has us smiling or laughing!
She loves to finger paint (well that's the way it always ends up anyway!) so I just let her do her thing. She has never gone this far though. A couple minutes after painting her nose, she calmly and with a very serious face, began rubbing her paintbrush and hands all over her face. I didn't care because she seemed to be having fun and the paint is non-toxic and washable! She kept staring at me, probably waiting to see my reaction and if she was in trouble. ;)
This picture was actually from yesterday. I heard Elsie say "climb stairs", so I looked over and this is what I saw! THEN I grabbed my camera. ;) What a little goof...
This morning I had the washer going so I could get some clothes out on the line. Sometimes when the washer is in the spin cycle, Elsie likes to run over and put her hands on it to feel the vibrations. So I thought she was doing just that when she stopped coloring and ran into the laundry room. When she didn't come out when the cycle was done I went to check on her and found this waiting for me!
Well I didn't even have to say a word. As soon as she saw me, she ran and got a tissue to clean her mess!
After dousing the kids in sunscreen, we spent the morning outside enjoying the sunshine.
Unfortunately the bugs liked the sun too. Sam had to enjoy some of the day under his bug net.
Elsie got to use her Easter egg sidewalk chalk.
After a few minutes she got tired of chasing them though. Those little buggers wouldn't stay in one place!
All that playing in the hot sun made a little girl very thirsty!
Judging by those little pink cheeks and scrunched up nose, it was apparent someone had had enough of the heat...
So we went inside to cool off.
Even Samuel had rosy little cheeks!
Then after lunch and naps, it was back outside!
Elsie thought she was WAY up high. She kept saying "oh no, up high!" She's become quite the little monkey lately, climbing EVERYTHING!
Friday was beautiful, so we got up early and spent the day with Aunt Stacy and cousin Brendan. Here's Elsie and Brendan watching trucks go by. This is the only picture I got of the kids before my camera batteries died.
We stopped by the river to get a closer look at these black and white ducks. I'm not sure what they were, but they were really neat looking.
Later that evening we went for a walk to a nearby lake. Samuel sure enjoyed the fresh air!'
We walked in the 3 mile Heart Walk today. Here was Elsie on the way home...
And Samuel.... :)
We were rearranging some things upstairs this afternoon and found Elsie's old exer-saucer. Samuel's still a bit top heavy for it, but we propped him up good and he enjoyed it for a few minutes anyway!

We also found Elsie's pink seat, but we wouldn't dare put a picture up of our son in a pink chair, so this one's in black and white. ;)
Tired little guy after a long day.
Oh Elsie Rae....
and her silly faces!
He sleeps like his Dad, "catching flies!"
Elsie Rae, did Mommy catch you making a mess?!
Aunt Sara made Samuel some more very cute baby blankets and burp clothes. The patterns are adorable. Here are a couple here. Thank you Aunt Sara!
Yesterday, despite the breeziness, all the little cousins got together to go to the playground. They had fun, but the babies had to stay bundled in their strollers under layers of blankets to block the wind!
