Christmas And Such

Elsie and Samuel were excited to wake up and see if Santa ate his cookies, and if the reindeer ate their carrots and celery. Much to their surprise he did, and he even left his red hat behind! The kids had fun taking turns wearing it throughout the morning.

Santa even filled their stockings!

I had to put up a few of them and their stockings because their expressions were priceless.

Samuel opening the gift from his sister. By the look on his face, he liked it! He gave her a great big hug after I took the picture.

Sarah and baby Jacob. It was so nice to see you Sarah, even if I was in labor for most of our visit!

Sweet wide awake boy.

Welcome Jacob

Within 40 minutes of arriving at the hospital on December 23rd, I was holding this little bundle in my arms! Jacob Robert was born at 2:35pm, weighing 8 pounds and 12 ounces, 18 1/2 inches long. What a gift we recieved this year!! Thanks be to God everything went so well (and quick!) and we were even home on Christmas Eve.

Few hours old.

This is what he did the first (and second... and third for that matter!) night.

Not much of a sleeper yet. ;)

Getting ready to go home!

As you can imagine, Elsie and Samuel were ecstatic at his arrival!

They couldn't wait to hold him...

And hold him they did!
