this and that

This is an outfit Samuel's Daddy used to wear when he was Sam's age. I think it's really neat that Grandma D. saved it along with many others. They are very special.

Here is a "Sam Cool" with his shirt unbuttoned. He got a little warm at Grandma D.'s and needed to vent! Notice the receding hairline, he's losing his hair! He might just end up as bald as his sister!

When we got home our little helper wanted to be VERY helpful and help take her brother out. (We can't take our eyes of that one!)

Elsie loves putting coins into her piggy bank.

She could sit and do this for a very long time.

But today, on closer inspection...

she discovered the plug at the bottom. Oh dear... (We keep little pink pig on a high shelf!)

Pictures and More Pictures

Sam thinks his mobile is pretty cool.

Elsie has been busy this week making Easter decorations. We found the Easter egg Tree printables at http://www.dltk-holidays.com/easter/meggtree.html We decided to trace her hand/arm to make the tree. Here she is making her best "bunny nose" impression. ;)

Elsie and Sam smiling because it's a bright sunny day!

A kiss for brother.

Sam just loves all this attention.

He feels like such a big boy when he sits in this chair.

Uh oh. "My heads getting a bit heavy mom!"

"What am I doing down here mom?"

"Hello Stace."

Elsie must hear me talking to Aunt Stacy on the phone, because the other evening she had the remote and pretended she was talking to "Stace".

When I asked her who is "Stace"? She said "Ava's Mommy".

We just had to get outside yesterday for a nice walk. It was 60 degrees and sunny!

We took a walk to the lake, much to Elsie's delight.

Here she is getting a lesson from Dad on sinking and floating! (Dad said he would wait a little bit longer on the mass to volume ratio and surficial tension aspects of the discussion ;)

And of course she especially loved throwing rocks into the water.

Sam had no idea his world was so big!

"Why are we stopping mommy?"

A happy Samuel after our walk.

Beautiful Baby

I got to visit Jenny and the baby this evening. Jenny looked just wonderful and Margie Sue is absolutely beautiful. She was awake and alert! I hope they both can get a good nights rest tonight and go home tomorrow.

Margie Sue

I talked to Jenny and Brad a little bit ago and although they sounded tired, they say they are all doing well! Her name is Margie Sue, after her great grandma H. and Grandma G. She was about 20 1/2 inches. Hopefully I can get out to visit later this evening and get some pictures!

She Is Here!

I just got the news a little while ago that my sister Jenny had her baby girl around 4:30 this morning! I guess she weighed 7lb 5oz. I will update when I hear more details! I'll let them get some rest before I call and bug them!
Congratulations Jenny, Brad, Georgia, Josie, and Emmy on your new baby!!

Here's a very "stylish" Elsie Rae. :)

Samuel played in the baby gym that was Elsie's when she was a little baby, and seemed to enjoy it.

Elsie couldn't resist and just HAD to try out that teething ring, for old times sake! :)

A few minutes later she crawled right under there with Samuel. She just had to see what all the fuss was about.

When he took his nap, this is where I found Elsie. She had it all to herself.

Here is Samuel in an outfit and blanket from Grandma D. It used to be Matt's when he was a baby. The blanket was made by Matt's Grandma D.

(I have a hard time choosing just one photo, as you've probably noticed!)
