Mini-Vacation Part 2

After visiting with Grandparents, we went to Old Forge to spend a night. We arrived early, so we hung out around the water and had a picnic, while waiting to check into our motel. The kids were happy to be out of the van!

Not really sure what the fascination with playing under the motel beds was... :)

To the Enchanted Forest we went!

We started walking away and Sam ran back to the "Crooked Man's" house, when I got to him he was trying to take a bite out of the huge hamburger. :)

It rained most of the second day we were there, but we did manage to get on some wet rides before it started and got too cold.

We have a couple of daredevils here! They LOVED the fast rides.

Tired wet people.... Time to go home! After two nights away from home, they cheered when I said it was time to go!!

But not before making a couple wishes in the fountain...

Part One Of Our "Mini-Vacation"

We recently went on a little road trip, and the first stop was my Grandma and Grandpa H.'s for an overnight visit. We spend the following night in Old Forge, and of course took the kids to the Enchanted Forest. Matt had told the kids that when he was a kid and went to Old Forge, his family would stop along the way and eat their breakfast, of donuts and cereal out of those single serving boxes. Of sourse Elsie thought this was the COOLEST thing, so we just had to try it. Here we are at a rest stop off the interstate having... breakfast. :)



They thought it was pretty neat, and even got to have some junky sugared cereal lol, as a treat. :)

We had a nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa H. Here's Sam enjoying a ride with Grandpa, and Elsie being towed behind the tractor by Daddy. :)
