Little Catch Up

Talk about picture OVERLOAD! But I'm caught up now. The funny thing is I feel like I haven't taken many pictures in recent days, or just not as many as usual ;). We've been SO busy "going places and doing things", as Grandpa would always say. :) Here's Samuel loving the sand... he'd certainly rather be here than in the water! Hope this changes next summer!

Oh wait a minute.... Did I just say that? I guess he likes the water as long as it doesn't go above his ankles. :)

Elsie on the other hand, is a water baby this year! Life jacket on, she'd swim across the river if I'd let her!

Nothing like an ice cream cone to cool you off.... after cooling off at the beach lol... it's been hot up in this neck of the woods!

Sam the daredevil... I snapped a quick picture before rescuing him. ;)

Sam up from his nap and ready for another afternoon at the beach. I LOVE having an Empire pass. It has certainly paid for itself at least twice over.

We recently met at Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad's, for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa S. Here's a pool full o' cousins.

Grandpa S. and Samuel having a moment. :)

Brendan and Maggie the dog.

Too cute!

Jacob woke up from his nap and found this green prickly thing peeking around the corner of his stroller. He looks so disgusted, doesn't he? :)

It was so nice to see Aunt Cassie!

So glad you were able to make it Cassie and Roger!

Aunt Jenny helping Samuel wrangle a chicken.

Jacob was really surprised when I just "plopped" him in the pool.

LOVE this picture!

Grandma and Grandpa S. watching the grandkids splash around.

Waiting for the FIREWORKS!

SPARKLERS!

Sam kept Aunt Sara and Uncle Gary entertained, or it seems so in this picture anyway. :)

Elsie ended her 2 weeks of swimming lessons last week. She did much better this year, and even jumped off the diving board on her own and went under water. BELIEVE me... this is a big deal!

Hmm... This is kind of random. But random's ok, right? Here's Elsie riding in "Daddy's truck". This is always quite a treat for the kids!

Uncle Gary got Sam and Elsie these glow necklaces at the July 4th fireworks, and Sam has kept track of his each day since. He must think that Uncle Gary of his is pretty neat. ;)

Elsie working on a pinata for her birthday party!

Jacob enjoying a parade in the cape.

Elsie and Emmy enjoying a cone at Aunt Stacy and Uncle Paul's.

Cousins! (And Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad's fresh air child, Amiya.)

Elsie, Emmy, Brendan, and Sammy.

Take two. :)

Aunt Jenny keeping the little ones entertained. Something about sharks or alligators, and a sailboat...

Elsie and the "bubble gum" flavored ice cream cone she earned after jumping off the diving board by herself for the first (and only) time. Haha Notice how she picked out all the bubble gum pieces!

This is right before she bent down to show the lifeguard her nail polished toes... What am I going to do with this girl! "sigh"

The beautiful butterfly Elsie caught. Not sure what kind it was though.

Elsie on her birthday morning. I asked her if she wanted ice cream for breakfast, and she said " No thank you... I want Life (cereal), a banana, and prunes!! Can you believe this kid?!?! ;) Now that I think about it, ice cream doesn't sound too good to me for breakfast either.

Jacob ready to party.

Ready to go out to dinner for her and her Daddy's birthday.

Elsie asked for a grape cake for her birthday, but we figured we'd save that for her party with relatives. On her actual day, Debbie snacks worked just fine. :)

Make a wish!

She was amazed when she actually blew one out!

I was putting laundry away one day and came back and found this....

And here's the culprit. Who'd have guessed?!

For Elsie's party we played pin the butterfly on the flower. Look at Josie go! :)

In line ready for their turn at the pinata. It was so nice to have my sisters Jenny and Stacy's fresh air children with us!

Go birthday girl!

Dividing up the loot.

Another picture I just love! Matt's birthday was 2 days after Elsie's, so we sang to both of them at a family party. Matt with his cheese cake, and Elsie with her grape cake...haha.

When Aunt Sara asked Elsie what she wanted for her birthday, she said she wanted to go anaconda hunting. So on her birthday she received this awesome anaconda, hand made by her Aunt Sara! :)

I LOVE this picture. It sure is rare to get three sets of eyes aimed at the camera, and all smiles too!
