Getting Ready for Brother

We've been getting things ready for my brother. Of course I have to try everything out first to make sure he'll like it! I tried out his crib yesterday, and today I tried out this bouncy seat. Mommy wouldn't let me try his swing though...

Yep, I think he'll like these toys.

And yes, this seat is quite comfy....

random

"Look what I swept up, Mom!"
(fyi-Bug is fake!)

Mom- "What are you doing Elsie?"
Elsie- " up stairs"
Mom- "I think you are too big to go up those stairs"
Elsie- "No"

I got craft supplies for Christmas and today I got to use a glue stick ALL by myself! Mommy and I made a fuzzy bunny, and then I got to glue my shapes to paper. I had so much fun!

Dress Up Time

I got some dress up things from Grandpa and Grandma Smith. I really like them a lot!

I wear the hat around the house and carry my purse, but Mommy has to help put on my shawl.

Even girly girls play with toy bugs.

They live in my doll house. Mommy thinks that maybe we should find them a new home though.

Thank you for my dress up clothes. I sure like them!

Visit to Great Grandma and Grandpa's

Yesterday we had a lovely visit at Great Grandma and Grandpa H.'s house. It was so nice to see them and see Grandpa home and doing better!

We got to see Uncle John and Aunt Theresa too! Here are Uncle John and Grandma G.

I was being really silly when Mommy was trying to take a picture of me with Aunt Theresa.

"Is this better Mom?"

Us girls had a coloring "party" with the new crayons and color books we got from Great Grandma.

Here's Aunt Theresa and Anthony. It was so nice to see them! Thanks for the nice card by the way Aunt Theresa, and I look forward to playing with the doll house you made at Grandma G.'s.

Here are my Uncles Russell, Benjamin, and John.

My cousins and I piled around Grandma and Grandpa for a picture. I'm getting some new teeth, so I couldn't keep my fingers out of my mouth.

I like sitting on Grandpa's lap.

And here is the whole crew, minus Cassie and Roger. We wish you could have been there, we miss you! Oh, don't mind Uncle Russell's silly face... He does that a lot.

I knew what to do when Grandma pointed the camera at me. Thanks for having us over Great Grandma and Grandpa H. It was so nice to see you. Also, it was great to see Uncle John, Aunt Theresa and Anthony too!

Our Many Pictures of Christmas

On Christmas Eve's Eve, I had to get some cookies ready for Santa.

Here I am all ready for Christmas Eve dinner at Grandma and Grandpa D.'s. Afterward, I went to church with Mommy and Daddy. I tried my best to smile pretty.

But sometimes Mommy and Daddy think my smiles come out kind of silly. I'll have to work on that...

At Grandma and Grandpa D.'s I peeked under the tree. It looks like Santa made it here a little early.

After church I had to go home and get ready for Santa. I left him cookies, and milk, and a carrot for his reindeer.

Then I checked to make sure our stockings were hung.

Then of course it was time for my story before bed.

In the morning I discovered that Santa had eaten most of the cookies and drank all his milk! The reindeer must have liked their carrot too
!

I found this doll house under the tree. Santa brought it!

There were lots of treats in my stocking.

No coal though, I must have been really good!

I just HAD to try out my new broom, just like Mommy's.

ABC puzzles too!

I gave Daddy a special gift I made just for him.

Then it was time to move on to our next stop. Grandma and
Grandpa D.'s. Here's Uncle Gary and Aunt Sara, looking jolly.

I got a little purse from Great Grandma and Grandpa H., but I decided that it was going to be a hat instead.

WHAT is so funny?

Grandpa helped me open my gifts.

Aunt Sara made me a kitty jacket. I said "ON, ON"! I just had to wear it around even though Mommy said I'd probably get too hot (I love clothes).

Then I got a sweater from Grandma and Grandpa and had to had THAT on too.

I also had to try on Grandpa's new slippers. There's room to grow, but I think they fit!

Here are Aunt Courtney and Kory looking jolly.

...and Aunt Keely (and NO her shirt is NOT wet!).

Here are my Mommy and Daddy and baby brother too!

When babies get tired, they get VERY silly (before they resort to screaming and tantrums that is)!

Time for a story read by Grandma.

Next stop, Grandma G.'s! Who is that I see... POOH BEAR!

I tried to open gifts that weren't mine, but Georgia put a stop to that!

I'm not really sure what to think of that Uncle Russell. I had to give him "the look" a couple times.

Ahhh.... time to relax and color before going home.

When I got home I got really excited to see my toys again and WOULDN'T go to sleep until 11pm! Mommy and Daddy weren't too happy. I usually go to sleep around 8, but it was CHRISTMAS!

We had a lovely day seeing family, and hope you all did too. For those we haven't gotten to see yet, we hope to see you really soon!
