Warning - Picture Overload

We had a busy weekend. Here are lots of pictures, but I don't have much time to spend writing captions right now (need to get some sleep!).

We had a nice little get together at my friend Kerry's on Friday. From the top left, here is Katie, Amy, (bottom left) Kerry holding her Kaila, Amy's Sophia, Me holding Samuel, and Miss Elsie Rae on the bottom step.

Kaila Grace

Sophia peeking under Samuel's blanket. She thought she this was pretty hilarious. ;)

Nice throw Sophia!

Elsie excited to be helping Daddy with the lawn, with her own bubble mower. ;)

Our little man and those big, blue eyes!

Family Reunion

Happy kids happy to hit the beach for round two on Sunday.

She thought she could swim... We had to watch her VERY close. :)

Miss Sophia took this picture. See her little fingers covering up the lense? :)

Kaila's first ever trip to the beach!

"Amy doll's" first day at the beach too.

I think she approves. :)

Samuel was not a fan of the cold water. He spent his afternoon on land with Daddy.

Hmm... Not sure where they got this idea.

Sharing ice cream with lion. (Aunt Sara made Elsie her BEAUTIFUL dress by the way!)

A Visit

"On Wednesday a friend of Mommy's from college came to visit. I hadn't seen her in a few months We went to the beach for a little bit, and played on the playground."

"She pushed me on the swing"

"I got to bounce on this nice dinosaur."

"And steer the "boat". Thanks for the nice visit and come again soon!"

"Last night Daddy and I played doctor. I liistened to Big Dog's heart."

"And took his temperature under his armpit too."

We had five close birthdays to celebrate, so our weekend culminated with a birthday party for (from left) Uncle Gary, Elsie, Daddy, Grandma D, and Great-Grandma H.! Happy birthday everyone!

Elsie received a bubble mower from Grandma and Grandpa D. She thought the box was pretty neat too. :)

"Oooh, pretty beads!"

Daddy helped Grandpa bale hay yesterday, and a piece of steel on the baler broke, causing the knotter to tie a few bales every three inches (fortunately, they got it torn apart, welded and put back together in time to finish picking up the hay!), making for some very small bales. As a result, Elsie and Samuel were very surprised to see two bales just their size waiting for them on the landing this morning!

This cow was very full by the end of the day...

Pink cow cooling off.

Pink cow "funned" out.

Pink cow being readied for round 2.

Yes, more pictures of hay. This collection of dried grass kept them occupied and pretending for nearly the entire day. Ahh to be young.

"Look Sam, there's more!"

Haying is hard work.

"Looks good Grandpa."

Lots of strawberry milk tomorrow. ;)

Aunt Stacy and Uncle Paul made Elsie this wonderful sink/range/stove for her birthday. It even had a little chalkboard on the side, and cookie jar on the opposite side.

"If Mommy just grabbed the pan like this..."

"...and this, it would be so much faster!" Thanks Stacy and Paul, she enjoys it so much!!

"I was counting sheep but they turned into bales of hay, and then..."

Daddy was at a site today adjacent to a homemade chocolate shoppe.

Apparently they do good work.

Not sure how Samuel ended up with Elsie's baby doll bottle... but it made for a cute shot. ;)
