Elsie's "Tricks"

Elsie has a trick (that she shared for family when we visited Great Grandparents last weekend) that she loves to do. She puts a toy in her mouth and then puts her arms out to her sides and tries to talk as if to say "Look, no hands!". She has tried this with just about all her toys, and I just happened to catch a few times on camera.

A Very Nice Visit

Yesterday we made a trip to see my grandparents. Elsie got to meet her great grandparents for the first time seeing how the last time they saw her she slept the entire time. It was a nice visit. My Mom and Rick, along with 3 of my sisters and 2 of my brothers made the trip also. We also got to see my Aunt Joann, Uncle Pat, and cousin Becky. Here is my dear grandfather with great granddaughter Emeline.

Doctor's Visit

"The other day I was tugging on my ear to let Mommy and Daddy know that it hurt, so today when I went for my 6 month checkup, the doctor checked it. Sure enough, another ear infection! That means more icky medicine.... I lucked out though and didn't have to get my immunizations this time. I have to go back in 10 days when I am all better. Mommy and Daddy were surprised when the doctor said I weighed 17 pounds, 6 ounces (75th percentile ) and was 24 1/2 inches long (25th percentile). The doctor said I am a bit round, but that's OK! The doctor was happy I'm eating well! He also said I can try some juice. I'm not sure what that is, but I bet it'll be good."

My Sunday

"Sunday afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa D.'s. Grandma made a cheesecake for Aunt Sara's birthday."

A visit with cousins

Today Elsie and her mom and dad enjoyed a nice visit from Aunt Stacy, Uncle Paul and cousins Ava and Brendan. The following pictures may seem a bit repetitive, but as always, I couldn't decide which ones to post because I liked them all!

While sitting in this chair earlier, Elsie became enthralled with Matt's hat hanging on a chair. I plopped it atop her head and she lit right up, so we just had to put up these pictures for "daddy".

In It's Own Time

Now and Then

Today I went over to my sister Jenny's for a visit. Stacy, Ava and Brendan also came over. Since we had all three babies together I just couldn't resist taking a "NOW" picture of them "all in a row" as I did three months ago. In this picture Emeline is 8 months, Elsie is 6 months, and Brendan is 3 months. Now that they are at the age where they are getting wiggly, they weren't very cooperative. But hey, I got my picture! It's fun to compare and see how much they've grown. Notice how similar they are in size.
