Saturday Evening
Last night we went over to Grandma and Grandpa D.'s for a quick visit to wish Aunt Courtney a happy birthday, which was Tuesday.
I hope you had fun out last night Aunt Courtney!
Here I am at home hanging out.
Mommy got a picture of me trying to climb on the table too. My legs weren't quite long enough though.

What I Did For Fun Today
Here I am practicing slamming doors and throwing things around for when I'm a teenager. Oh no, I'm just kidding Mommy and Daddy!

Time For New Blinds
Today Daddy let me play in my playpen to keep me outta trouble for a little while. I was really good and quiet. I found this cool new toy while I was in there, so I decided it would be fun to tear it apart! When Mommy checked on me I showed her my cool new trick. She wasn't impressed though.... I'm not sure why, but I was having fun! Thanks for letting me play in my playpen Dad! Friday, June 20, 2008
Taking My First Steps!!
Earlier this evening Mommy tried to take a picture of me standing and I surprised her by walking to her instead!! Then I did it again for Daddy.... This time they were ready with the camera and caught me in action! They are so proud of me!
(Her Dad was standing to her left, and she kept looking over to make sure he was watching. So cute!)

Mom Talking Here
I went outside yesterday evening to plant sunflower seeds when Matt got home (I hope it isn't too late!), and looked up to see this little smooshed nose against the window! I just had to yell to Matt to bring me the camera. She stayed right there with her little nose planted firmly against the window pane!
She was probably wishing she could be outside too.
She looked really small in that big window.
This little sleeping beauty still isn't sleeping through the night! Can you believe it? Here we are nearing her first birthday, and Mom and Dad are STILL just as exhausted as the day we brought her home from the hospital. I have pretty much conceded to the fact that she will never sleep through the night. ;) I guess the question is, what are we doing wrong, or where did we go wrong? We get up around the same time each morning. She takes a nap around 9:30 or 10am for about 1 hour and 15-30 minutes (We are past the cat napper phase, so that's a plus!!), and then another after lunch around 1:30 or 2pm for another hour and 15-30 minutes. We give her cereal around 7pm, and then read her a story while we rock in the the chair. I have to rock her to sleep at night. We never got her to fall asleep on ther own (I'm sure that's another area where we went wrong!). So when she wakes up at night, we usually always have to get her out of her crib and rock her back to sleep. SOMETIMES she will get herself back to sleep after a couple minutes. We can't let her cry long because she gets herself so worked up that she makes herself sick.... So after changing baby, changing crib sheets, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get her back to sleep. I know she's growing so fast, so of course I am happy to deal with her sleeping problems now. Afterall she IS getting enough sleep, but I would take advice! ;) DO you have any?
