A little catch up...

Between moving, our computer crashing, and getting ready for the new baby, I have certainly neglected the blog. So I'll try and do a little catch up! We did a little crafting last week and I think this one came out so cute! These angels are hanging in the kids' bedrooms. We found the idea on the Catholic Icing blog. We added the prayer, and I changed it slightly to make it more "kid friendly". This one is Samuel's.

Sam would love to jump into potty training, but I've decided to wait until the baby comes and we are back in some sort of routine before taking it on. I do let him use his potty chair each night before I change his diaper for bed though, and he goes EVERY time. He looks forward to it and as soon as we are done reading bedtime stories etc. etc., he yells "Go Potty!", and races down the hall. He is definitely ready. Anyway, Grandma D. got him some Spider Man underwear and he insists on wearing them over his clothes some days. Here he is trying on two at once!

We did some science experiments the other day. We uses some old playdoh to make a volcano and Elsie just thought this was the coolest thing ever (as if you couldn't tell by her expression!). We thought about getting her a science kit for Christmas, but were unable to find one age appropriate and for a reasonable price. Can anyone suggest a good one? :)

Samuel's First Haircut

Sam went to Grandma G.'s today to get his first "big boy" hair cut. This was a big deal, seeing how Elsie STILL hasn't had a first haircut. (If you remember she was practically bald for the first two years of her life!) Here he is before his first snip, waiting patiently. He thought "Blond Hair" needed a cut too, so Grandma snipped a bit off for him, much to Sam's delight. :)

Tonight while the kids were cleanin up their toys before bed, they carried a basket of cars together to put them away. I just thought it was a cute picture!

Halloween Festivities

Here is Elsie at her preschool Halloween party. She was SO excited to tell us about the M&M's she received in her goody bag. Hehe... our poor "deprived" little girl. ;)

Grandma tied donuts onto strings and the kids had to eat them without using their hands. This was entertaining for the kids, but more so for the parents watching. :)

Grandma G. put together boxes where the kids could stick their hands in and fell the different parts of Herbert Smears. For example, Elsie peeked and said that his nose was just a hotdog. :)

Halloween night at a neighbor's. Mrs. H. was showing Elsie a picture of her grandaughter dressed up.

We found out a couple weeks ago that we had to move once again seeing how the place we were renting was being sold. We are all moved in to a new place now, and hope it's the last time we'll need to move before we move once again in the summer/fall to our more permanent home. Finally we can get settled (again) and ready for this new baby!
